This body of images, that I’ve called Blurs, are long exposures, often done at night. Sometimes I would hold the camera steady. Other times I might move the camera during the long exposure. I wanted to see how much information I could get on the film, and in the print, with these long, hand held exposures.
At first the results were a bit chancy. But as I worked, I discovered I could actually previsualize the print and I found that I had a lot of control over how the print looked.
